Why don't you sell your products online?
     Call us old fashion, but we still prefer to conduct business with a personal
     touch. Many customers know exactly what they want, but just as many may
     have questions regarding a particular part, its application, installation, avail- 
     ability, or an alternative. Hardware Discounters just doesn't sell product, we 
     also provide Service. That includes our knowledge of the products we sell.
     You can't buy that online.

     When we answer your phone call or respond to your fax or email, it gives us
     the opportunity to quote or supply you the correct material the very first time.
     That let's you complete your project quickly. It also drastically cuts down on
     returns, which usually cost both parties time and money, valuable
     commodities that neither of us can afford to waste.

So far the lack of an online store has not been an issue for the overwhelming
    majority of our customers. We are always evaluating our business model, the          
     market place, and our customers to know when the time is right to commence
     selling our products online.

Why don't I see the part or product I need on your website?
     It is virtually impossible to show all the products that we can supply.
     Contact us at 1-800-535-6617 or use the Contact Us link and tell us
     what you are searching for, and we'll research the item so we can tell you if we    
     have it or can get it. Or request a catalog.     

Who are your customers?
     Our Institutional customers include public and private schools, colleges,
     universities, and federal, state, and local governmental agencies. Our
     Commercial customers include facility management companies, resellers,
     retail department stores and restaurants, apartments and condominiums,
     churches, and construction companies. We do not actively solicit business
     from individual homeowners.    

Do you have a Minimum Order amount?
     A $25.00 Net minimum order is required.

 

 What are your payment terms?
     Net 30 Days. No additional discount will be extended for receipt of payment      
     before due date. We accept credit cards from American Express, MasterCard,
     and Visa.

Do you accept purchase orders?
     We accept purchase orders from any Institutional customer as described 
     above and from previously established Commercial accounts.                                                         
  
     For new Commercial customers, we can establish an account and ship orders
     after receipt and review of their credit information. This may take several days.
     New Commercial customers may also have their orders sent C.O.D. All C.O.D
     orders must ship from Hardware Discounter's, Inc. warehouse.

Do you charge Sales Tax?
     We only charge Sales Tax for orders shipped within the State of Maryland.
     If you are tax exempt in the State of Maryland, a copy of your exemption must
     be provided at the time of your order. All other out-of-state and/or local taxes
     are the responsibility of the purchaser.

What is your Return Policy?
     No material may be returned without a prior request and approval in the form
     of a Return Good Authorization issued by Hardware Discounters, Inc.
     All returned material is subject to a minimum 25% handling and restocking
     fee. No fee will be incurred for returned material shipped incorrectly by
     Hardware Discounters, Inc. Non-stock material may or may not be returnable
     at the discretion of the original supplier and in accordance with their
     established return policy. Special or Custom manufactured material is non-
     returnable. Requests for a Return Good Authorization must be made within
     thirty (30) days of receipt of material in question. All returned material must be
     shipped freight prepaid unless it is subject to an exception granted by  
     Hardware Discounter's, Inc. and/or the original supplier. Credit for returned
     material will be issued only after material has been received and deemed
     resalable by Hardware Discounters, Inc. and/or the original supplier.
