Bulletin Boards

Bulletin Boards are available with a variety of tackable surfaces, backings, and frames. While materials may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, virtually all bulletin boards have the following:

Tackable Surfaces
  • Cork Natural Cork is the most common and widely used and is tan in color. Colored Cork is either natural cork or a composite of natural materials that is impregnated with color. Both Natural Cork and Colored Cork are 'self-healing' allowing pinholes to disappear. Thickness ranges from 1/16" to ¼".
  • Fabric Would include Polyester or Burlap Fabric that are color fast, soil and stain resistant; fabric backed Vinyl which is stain resistant and is washable; Hook-and-Loop fabric that accepts Velcro as well as push pins, is soil and stain resistant, and resists fading.
  • Rubber An Eco-friendly surface made from recycled consumer and industrial material. Provides superior resilience, durability, and tack-holding ability. Easy to clean.

Backing
  • Insulation Board of various thickness or ¼" MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) are typical. Non-Fire Retardant or Fire Retardant DuracoreTM gypsum type boards are also available.

Frames
  • Aluminum Aluminum frames with a Satin Anodized finish are standard with frame widths varying from 5/8", 7/8", 1", and 1-1/4" depending on manufacturer and board series. Radius corner frames are available as well as optional anodized or powder coated finishes.
  • Wood Oak with a Natural finish is usually standard. Frame widths vary from 5/8", 1", 1-7/16", and 1-3/4". Other wood and finishes are available as options.
  • Edge Wrapped Fabric covered boards are available with the fabric wrapped around the edges creating a 'frameless' board. These boards are perfect for areas that require a more 'up scale' appearance.
