Grab bars must be securely mounted to provide the proper support and stability. Specialized anchors and fasteners are available to insure that. These are not included with the grab bar and must be ordered separately.
WingIt
WingIt is a patented fastening system, which meets or exceeds all building codes and ADA compliance. It can be use with the following wall substrates:
- 5/8" drywall or heavier
- ½" or 5/8" drywall with tile, marble, or other stone substrates
- ½" or 5/8" drywall with fiberglass, faux marble, acrylic, and plaster
- Plaster and lathe
- ¼" acrylic/fiberglass surrounds
Through Bolt
A rod inserts through the partition panel and into a sub-plate (sold separately) or a tenon plate. Only one hole drilled through the partition required.
Back-to-Back
Facilitates mounting two bars back-to-back on partition panels from ¾" up to 1-1/2" thick.
Anchor Plates
Welded to steel studs or bolted to wood studs before the wallboard is installed. Drill and tap holes in plate through the finish wall.
