Mirrors
Along with size, frame type and reflective surface are the other factors to consider when picking a mirror.
Size: Virtually any size mirror with a maximum width of 144" and height of 72" is available, but 16"x30", 18"x30", 18"x36", and 24"x36" are typical for most restrooms.
Frame Type:
· Channel Frame One piece roll formed stainless steel channel with mitered corners
· Angle Frame Roll formed stainless steel angle. Corners are heliarc welded, ground and polished smooth
· Fixed Tilt Beveled shape frame that offers visibility for individuals in a wheelchair. Tapers from 4" at top to 1" at the bottom. An Adjustable Tilt frame is a modified Angle frame which incorporates folding brackets on each side and a piano hinge on the bottom allows the mirror to be tilted down and them returned to an upright position
· Frameless A single sheet of 20 gauge stainless steel with #8 polished finish. Typically with a masonite backing
Reflective Surfaces:
· Float Glass Standard mirror surface. ¼" thick. Usually has a 10 or 15 year warranty against silver spoilage
** The following surfaces are particularly suited for environments where frequent breakage and/or security issues exist with regard to broken glass. The color and reflective quality of these surfaces differs from the float glass. Modest distortion is normal.
· Tempered or Laminated Glass ¼" thick. Resists breakage and provides a measure of safety if the glass is broken.
· Lexan Dura-Mir or Plexiglas Lexan is a ¼" thick polycarbonate sheet. Plexiglas is light weight and shatter resistant
· Stainless Steel Same polished material as used in a Frameless mirror
